DSA® Anodes for Chlorate Cells

ELTECH Gruppo De Nora is the leading supplier of anode coatings for the production of sodium chlorate used by pulp manufacturing companies as an environmentally friendly bleaching process. De Nora’s coatings are also used in the production of potassium chlorate. De Nora continues to develop new anode coatings to further increase production efficiencies, reduce by-product oxygen, reduce operating costs, and maintain its performance leadership in the industry.

De Nora has other DSA coatings, which may be suitable for very demanding operating conditions.

Our Technology group has years of experience in DSA coating technology and can provide anode coating evaluation services as well as technical service.

De Nora also manufactures and supplies titanium substrate requirements.

DSA Chlorate coatings:

EC 100 DSA coating: the original chlorate coating, which has a history of strong performance in chlorate service, with some coatings in service in excess of 15 years.

EC 120 DSA coating: a lower oxygen evolving coating with a compact coating structure
which resists the build up of impurities on the coating surface and results in a long coating life. Coating can operate at temperatures in excess of 90 degrees centigrade. Currently the most widely used DSA coating.

EC 230 DSA coating: (new) the lowest oxygen evolving DSA coating which has been commercialized. Lower oxygen translates into higher current efficiency. The low oxygen coating may have some application limits so contact your De Nora regional representative for more detail.
